WJBF News Channel 6 is continuing to look for answers in the recent resignation of McDuffie County’s EMS director.

Tim Edwards stepped down from that job Monday, for what he called “personal reasons”, less than a week after the EMS office was raided by federal agents.

A spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will not say what that raid was about.

Kay Lord has been named interim director of EMS. She was the assistant director under Tim Edwards.

According to WTHO Radio in Thomson, Tim Edwards stepped down for personal reasons.

Federal Agents raided the EMS office last week, but there is no word yet on why, or if the resignation is connected.
